Why did my
job go to error?
- Did your name your fax header correctly
as $$Name$$ in your list? (The Headers are case sensitive
and must mach exactally -
[EMAIL - Header $$Name$$ must
be matched with the header in the html file $$Name$$ NOT
$$name$$ or $$NAME$$]
[FAX - Header #Name# must
be matched with the header in the document #Name# NOT
#name# or #NAME#]
- Did you reproof your job and attach a
list or document with a different name than the original?
- Is your fax document a file type other
than the accepted .doc, .rtf, .tif, xls or .pdf
- Is your list a file type other than the
accepted .csv?
- Do you have a script or macro running
on your document (You must remove any scripts or macros
from your document before proofing your job.)
Where do
the headers appear on the fax, and what do I put in the fax
header fields?
- The Fax Header "From" will appear at the top and contain the value just as you type it in that field. "Fax Alert" will appear as "From: Fax Alert". Fax Header "To" is a merge field. #NAME# will take the value from the list field with that header and place it on the top of every fax. Example: "To: Joe Muscarela"
Why didn't
my merges work?
- Are the fields on the word document EXACTLY as they are on the list header, keeping in mind that they are case sensitive?
- Did you name your fax header correctly
as #Name# in your list? (The Headers are case sensitive

- Are there spaces in your headers on the list? Spaces are recognized as characters, and may cause the merges to be inconsistant.
How many numbers
can I upload at once?
- There is no max list size in csv format.
Is there
a limit to the number of pages my document can contain?
- Business Link can handle documents of up to 10 pages without exception. For larger documents, contact Business Link for instructions.
Where can
I go to learn what each status of my job means?
- New - Waiting for a
Proof server.
- Error - Please check
above to resolve problem or contact support
- Proof Ready - Job has
gone through our proof server and is waiting your approval
to launch.
- To Launch - You have
approved the .tif - html (proof) and the job is waiting
for a launch server.
- Loading - Job is being
loaded into our system and faxing (Please note that large
list sizes can take more than a hour to load.
- Push Ready or Push -
Job is being pushed into our system and faxing or emailing.
- Queued - Job is finished
and waiting to be reported back to our billing system.
- Complete - Your reports
are available online and have been sent to your inbox (fax
only)
- Cancel - Your Job has
been canceled and will not launch.
- WIP - Your Job has an
issue and support is in the process of fixing it (Support
will contact you if they can't resolve the issue.)
- Hold - Your job has
a issue that is affecting other jobs and must be put on
hold while the issues are being corrected
